Do you hate working out? You’re definitely not alone. There are many reasons why people don’t enjoy working out but there are a few main ones. So let’s make it easier and more fun for you to get started and keep going with your workout.
You’re lacking energy and here is why.
First thing’s first. If you lack energy then it is challenging to enjoy your workout time or even to begin. The main reason why you’re lacking energy is because of the food you eat – or don’t eat. Eating healthy food that your unique body needs is essential for having energy. Many people start working out, especially women, and they start eating less. There is no wonder then that you hate working out.
Since your body is getting rid of more energy, you need to refuel more which means more food.
But even before you start working out, it’s har do have the motivation if you don’t feel energized. So starting to eat healthy a few weeks before you decide to start is a great way to prepare your mind and your body. After all, the food you eat boosts your brain too and not just the physical body.
What to eat to get energized
Everyone’s body is different and needs its own adapted food. Some people are sensitive to gluten while others can’t eat too much fat, even the healthy kind. So while avocado and nuts are a great source of minerals and healthy fats, there is no guarantee that your body will love it.
You can either do a specialized test to see what your body needs or start feeling your body more and being aware of how it reacts to certain foods. In general, your body needs a good, balanced diet with vital vitamins and minerals such as vitamin c, B12, iron, magnesium, vitamin D, phosphor. A vitamin and mineral test is also a good way to see what you might need more of.
You hate working out because your vision is too narrow.
I often hear people say that they hate working out because they hate going to the gym or going for a run. With today’s options, there is more than enough to choose from. It might take some time to find what works for you but you will eventually find something that you like.

What I recommend is that you sign up for a gym that has many different classes. That way you can try many different things.
You don’t hate working out but your brain is trying to keep you in your comfort zone.
When you’re not used to working out, your brain is trying to hold you back. Not because it is being mean to you but because you’re stepping into unfamiliar territory. Your brain wants to pull you back because it believes that it is what keeps you safe. It is much easier to know that so that you can take control of your brain and make it work for you – instead of the other way around.
