Summer is all about novels and I honestly can’t get enough of them! I recently stumbled upon a romance novel that is drawing me in more and more every day. It’s a part of a trilogy and I am just getting started but had to share! This novel is romantic, sexy, it speaks of history and it’s the perfect summer read!
Heather Graham knew what she was doing when she wrote this book.
I love reading great books, I think you know that by now ? And I love sharing what I read with you, especially now during the summer. Reading helps me lose myself in different worlds and dream away. Heather Graham’s romance novel “One Wore Blue” is the first one out in the civil war trilogy. She has such a unique way of writing that makes it almost impossible to put down the book!
I found the book in a store actually and it’s the entire series in one. You’ll also find it on Amazon. I don’t mind books that are a little thicker but when I first saw it I kind of dropped my jaw. It has a lot – and I mean a lot – of pages. But somehow it’s actually fine with this book because it’s so good that I don’t even feel it.
I have been reading it on the beach, at home, in the park. Honestly, it goes with me almost everywhere. It’s just too exciting to read to put down. She draws you in with the story in such an incredible way.
A romance novel set in the 1600th century
What is it about this season that wakes up the romantic within you? In this romance novel, the author takes you through the history of the American civil war. Right from the start, I was drawn into this world filled with emotions, hope, and romance.
I love it when books can get my attention right away – that’s a rare find. I love novels that can teach me something about history and at the same time wake so many romantic emotions – and eagerness too! There is drama, love and excitement in this one.
This book has the perfect blend of history, handsome gentlemen, and rebellious characters. Well, the handsome gentlemen I have made my own image of but that’s what I love. That’s why I sometimes get disappointed when I go and see a movie after I’ve read the book.
It’s not easy to paint the same picture on the screen as in the book. But if someone would make a movie out of this book, I would be the first in line. Now that I think about it, it’s actually not a bad idea! It would be so popular among girls and women. I know my friends would love it! Yep, it’s decided: they have to make a movie about it. Okay, I’m getting a little carried away here ?
So anyway, so far I have laughed, been shocked, and felt a tingling feeling like I myself was in love. That’s some good writing! This trilogy is a pleasant summer surprise for sure.
